The main objectives of ALACI are: the improvement of education in Immunology, the training of students and young scientists, and foster interactions between members and labs in experimental and clinical immunology both in human and veterinary immunology. ALACI sponsors courses, workshops and scientif meetings, and organizes an International Meeting every 3 years.

About ALACI: Aims and functions

ALACI was founded as ALAI in 1984 in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and joined the International Union of Societies for Immunology (IUIS) in 1987 after the first International Meeting that was held in Buenos Aires. The ALAI original Statute was reformulated as IUIS only hosts National Immunology Societies, instead of individual members.
