1st IUIS Leadership Academy for Future Leaders in Immunology

We are delighted to share an exciting opportunity for early- and mid-career immunologists across the Latin American and Caribbean region.

The IUIS Junior Community, together with the ALACI Junior Community, CSI and the Mexican Society of Immunology (SMI), is organizing the 1st IUIS Leadership Academy for Future Leaders in Immunology, taking place October 25-28, 2026 in Oaxaca, Mexico.

This is a unique 4-day, 3-night immersive workshop designed for senior postdoctoral researchers and early-stage group leaders. It will cover leadership skills, strategic mindset, people and conflict management, mentoring, science communication, and professional networking, led by a distinguished international and national faculty. The deadline for applications and nominations to be submitted to the IUIS and ALACI Junior Communities is July 31, 2026. This first edition of the Leadership Academy marks a milestone for the ALACI Junior Community and for the Pan-American early-career immunology network, and we are committed to making it as inclusive and representative as possible.
